BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed has demanded the government publicly disclose the topics discussed in the meeting between Chief Adviser (CA) Prof Muhammad Yunus and Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddion on Thursday.
The BNP senior leader raised the demand during an exchange with reporters at his residence in Gulshan in the capital on Friday.
Salahuddin said his party believes the chief adviser instructed the CEC to start preparations for holding the next general elections in February next year, but added that the matter can only be confirmed after both sides issue statements in this regard.
