Light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, are expected across large parts of Bangladesh over the next 24 hours, according to a weather bulletin issued by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Friday morning.
The forecast indicates that most areas in Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Barisal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, along with many parts of Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions, are likely to experience rainfall. The BMD also warns of moderately heavy to heavy rainfall in isolated locations throughout the country.
While daytime temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged, a slight drop in nighttime temperatures may occur in some areas.
The weather office has urged caution, especially in low-lying regions where heavy rainfall could lead to temporary flooding or waterlogging. The advisory remains in effect for the next 24 hours and will be updated as necessary based on evolving weather conditions.
