The investigation agency has submitted its final report to the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) in connection with the killing of Abu Sayeed, reports the Daily Sun.
Abu Sayeed, a student of Begum Rokeya University, was martyred during the July mass uprising in Rangpur.
The report has implicated 30 individuals in the murder.
According to tribunal sources, the formal charge sheet is expected to be submitted to the prosecution on Thursday (26 June).
Earlier, on 15 June, the tribunal directed investigators to submit the report by 14 July and fixed 26 June for a hearing in the case.
A three-member ICT bench headed by Chairman Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mojumder passed the order.
Chief Prosecutor Mohammad Tazul Islam, along with prosecutors Gazi Moinul Hossain, BM Sultan Mahmud, and SM Moinul Karim, appeared for the prosecution. Defence counsels included lawyers Rashedul Haque Khokon and Delowar Hossain Sohel.
