A 9-member delegation led by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will leave Dhaka for China tonight. They are scheduled to leave on Sunday night.
The BNP Secretary General said the visit will focus on increasing mutual cooperation between China and Bangladesh and various issues related to bilateral interests.
While talking to reporters at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, “They will meet with high-level leaders of the Communist Party of China during this five-day visit. China is an economically powerful country, if they can utilize this power, Bangladesh will also benefit economically.”
Other members of the delegation are BNP standing committee members Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Selima Rahman, chairperson's advisor Ismail Zabiullah, professor Sukomal Barua, Zahir Uddin Swapan, party media cell convener professor Dr. Moudud Hossain Alamgir Pavel, and chairperson's private secretary ABM Abdus Sattar.
