The National Citizens Party (NCP) has applied for registration with the Election Commission (EC) demanding to get shapla or pen or mobile symbols as a political party.
The party's chief coordinator Nasir Uddin Patwary told the reporters after submitting the application at the election building on Sunday.
He said, “Our demand is the shapla symbol. However, we have also mentioned pen and mobile as symbols in the application.
At this time, the party's member secretary Akhtar Hossain, chief organizer (northern region) Sarjis Alam, senior joint convener Samantha Sharmin and other party leaders and activists were present.
