A high-level BNP delegation, led by its Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, is set to leave Dhaka for China tonight (Sunday night) at the invitation of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
The BNP delegation is scheduled to depart from Dhaka tonight, said BNP Media Cell Member Shairul Kabir Khan, reports BSS.
The delegation comprises BNP Standing Committee Members Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Selima Rahman and AZM Zahid Hossain.
BNP Chairperson's Advisory Council Members Zahir Uddin Swapon, Ismail Jabiullah and Prof Sukomal Barua, along with BNP Media Cell Convener Maudud Ahmed Pavel, will also join the delegation.
Earlier on Thursday, BNP delegates met Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen at the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka.
Party insiders said the visit aims to strengthen BNP’s relations with the Chinese government and the CPC.
Last month, a BNP delegation participated in an international conference in Beijing at the invitation of the (CPC).
