The government is set to pass the national budget for the upcoming 2025–26 fiscal year (FY26) today (Sunday), with a gazette notification likely to be issued later in the day.
In the absence of a national parliament, the Advisory Council is expected to approve the proposed budget during a meeting at the Chief Adviser’s Office in the morning, according to finance ministry sources.
The budget will be passed following the president’s endorsement, and a gazette notification is scheduled to be published the same day.
