BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has said their party’s acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is preparing to return to the country.
“All the people of the country, including the BNP men, are eagerly waiting for Tarique Rahman. He is preparing to come to the country at any time after fixing a date,” he said.
The BNP leader came up with the information while talking to reporters in a Milad Mahfil in memory of late Gonoforum President Mustafa Mohsin Montu at a mosque in Kataban of the capital on Friday.
In response to another question from journalists, he said the Election Commission (EC) will decide on the cancellation of posters and the amendment of the RPO related to the election after discussing with all political parties.
“It would not be right for me to comment on this matter now,” the BNP standing committee member added.
About the visit of a high-level BNP delegation to China beginning on tomorrow at the invitation of the ruling Communist Party of China, this senior BNP leader expressed the hope that the long-standing relations between the two countries will be further strengthened during the visit to China.
