Bangladesh recorded one new COVID-19 death and 26 infections in the last 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), reports UNB.
The latest update raises the total number of confirmed cases to 2,051,833, while the cumulative death toll stands at 29,503.
Health authorities tested 291 samples during the 24-hour period ending Sunday morning, resulting in a daily positivity rate of 8.93%. The overall positivity rate remains at 13.05%, and the fatality rate is steady at 1.44%.
Meanwhile, recoveries have continued to increase, with 20,19,410 individuals reported as having overcome the illness.
The DGHS continues to monitor the situation closely and encourages the public to adhere to health guidelines, especially amid fluctuating infection trends.
