Rain or thundershowers with lightning and temporary gusty winds are likely in parts of Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Mymensingh, while isolated showers may occur in Dhaka and Sylhet divisions, as well as in Kushtia, Jashore, and Comilla, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department's 24-hour forecast issued this morning (May 6).

A trough of low pressure extending from West Bengal to the North Bay through the southwestern part of Bangladesh is influencing the current weather conditions.
Day temperatures may fall slightly in Rangpur and Rajshahi, while a slight rise is expected elsewhere. Night temperatures are likely to remain nearly unchanged across the country.
On Monday, the highest temperature in the country was recorded at 36.8°C in Baghabari, Rajshahi.
The sun will set today at 6:30 pm and rise tomorrow at 5:20 am in the capital.
