The first Hajj flight of the year from Bangladesh (Flight BG-3501) landed at the Hajj Terminal of King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah of Saudi Arabia at 7:30am local time today.
Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Md. Delwar Hossain, welcomed the pilgrims at the airport. Also present on the occasion were the Consul General of Bangladesh in Jeddah, Mr. Mia Md. Mainul Kabir, and Counsellor of the Bangladesh Hajj Mission, Md. Zahidul Islam, along with other officials.
The Bangladeshi pilgrims were also greeted by Engineer Mazen Jawahar, Adviser to the Saudi Civil Aviation Authority; Mr. Salman Al-Belabi, Director at the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah; and other Saudi officials.
Ambassador Hossain extended his best wishes to the arriving pilgrims and assured them that the Bangladesh Embassy, Consulate, and Hajj Mission in Saudi Arabia are fully committed to providing all necessary support throughout their pilgrimage.
The Bangladeshi pilgrims expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the warm welcome and smooth airport arrangements.
This year, a total of 87,100 Bangladeshi pilgrims are expected to perform the holy Hajj.
