Inspector General of Bangladesh Police (IGP) Baharul Alam has said that innocent people cannot be harassed by filing cases.
In this context, he said, “After August 5, a group is accusing numerous innocent people along with the main accused in cases for harassment. This matter is under our attention.”
He said this at a press briefing organized at the Foreign Service Academy on Bailey Road in the capital on Monday.
The three-day Police Week-2025 is starting on Tuesday, which will be inaugurated by Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
IGP Baharul Alam said, “This year we want to observe an effective Police Week, rather observing it simply.”
He said, “The activities will be implemented after listening to the plans from the field-level officers. In addition, representatives of civil society have been invited to this year's Police Week. They will share their opinions.”
