Local Government, Rural Development & Cooperatives and Youth & Sports adviser Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiya said that there is no obligation for students to join the new political party.
He made the statement on Saturday on his verified Facebook account, while answering a question regarding joining a political party after serving as the adviser to the ministries.
Stating that he has yet to make a decision, the adviser wrote in his post, “When the time comes, I will join whichever option I believe is best for the people of the country.”
“There is no obligation for students to join a new political party,” he continued.
