Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast scattered rain, thunderstorms, and temporary gusty winds in parts of the country, driven by active weather systems over the region.
A trough of low pressure lies over West Bengal and adjoining areas, while a seasonal low persists over the South Bay — both influencing current weather conditions.
According to the BMD, rain or thundershowers accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are likely at a few places in Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, and at one or two spots in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Chattogram divisions. Elsewhere, the weather may remain mainly dry with temporarily partly cloudy skies.
The highest recorded rainfall from yesterday (April 21) was 45 mm in Sandwip, Chattogram.
Day and night temperatures are expected to rise slightly across the country.
On Monday, the highest temperature in the country was recorded at 35.5°C in Rajshahi.
The sun will set today at 6:23 pm and rise tomorrow at 5:31 am in the capital.
