Former Dhaka-5 MP Kazi Monirul arrested

Former lawmaker for Dhaka-5, Kazi Monirul Islam Monu, has been arrested by the Detective Branch (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

Monu was arrested on Monday from the capital's Gulshan area.

DMP deputy commissioner (media and public relations), Muhammad Talebur Rahman informed the media that Monu was arrested from Gulshan.

Later, he was sent to the court in the afternoon.
