Former ministers and MPs ,who fled Bangladesh amid the student-led mass uprising against the fascist Awami League government facing allegations of genocide and corruption, attended the wedding of the son of Syed Sajidur Rahman, General Secretary of the UK Awami League.
The wedding ceremony was held on the evening of April 20 at the prestigious InterContinental Hotel at London’s O2 Arena.
Among those present were former Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud, former Minister of Fisheries and Livestock Abdur Rahman, former State Minister for Expatriates’ Welfare Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury, former State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, and former MP for Sylhet-3, Habibur Rahman Habib.
The attending ministers appeared cheerful during the event. They interacted with fellow party leaders and supporters and posed for photos with many attendees.
Earlier, photos of Hasan Mahmud, Abdur Rahman, and Shafiqur Rahman casually chatting over coffee had gone viral.
