Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast rain and thundershowers accompanied by lightning and temporary gusty winds in various parts of the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9:00 am today (April 20).
According to the latest bulletin, a trough of low lies over West Bengal and adjoining areas, while a seasonal low pressure exists over the South Bay.
Due to these systems, rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Dhaka, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.
One or two places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Khulna, and Barishal divisions may also experience similar weather.
The forecast also indicates a slight rise in both day and night temperatures across the country.
On Saturday, the highest temperature in the country was recorded at 34.4°C in Baghabari, Rajshahi.
The sun will set today at 6:22 pm and rise tomorrow at 5:32 am in the capital.
