BNP Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu has called on the interim government to urgently announce a roadmap for the election to establish a people’s government.
He said, “Announce an electoral roadmap to form an elected government. Specify the exact date, month, and year when the election will be held.”
He made these remarks on Friday at a youth rally in front of the Jatiya Press Club, demanding the whereabouts of BNP leader Ilias Ali and other victims of enforced disappearance.
He also said, “We believe that those who have destroyed the democracy of Bangladesh over the last 15 years are being protected in one way or another and they are being given opportunities to conspire.”
Demanding capital punishment for Sheikh Hasina, he said, “Sheikh Hasina has forcibly disappeared and killed numerous BNP youth and student leaders, including Ilias Ali. For that, we demand the execution of Sheikh Hasina.”
He also added, “The people of Bangladesh have ousted Sheikh Hasina. If Fascism rises again, the people of this country will easily drive it away.”
