Chief of Army Staff of Bangladesh, General Waker-Uz-Zaman, who is visiting Moscow at the head of a military delegation, paid tribute to the memory of Russian soldiers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Alexander Garden on Monday.
The ceremony of laying flowers and wreaths was held under the leadership of the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Ground Forces, General of the Army Oleg Salyukov.
Traditionally, during the memorial events, a minute of silence was held to the sounds of a metronome, after which the military orchestra played the anthem of Bangladesh, which symbolizes and emphasizes the tribute of the military delegation to Russian soldiers who laid down their lives for the Fatherland.
The memorial events ended with the ceremonial march of the 154th Separate Preobrazhensky Commandant's Regiment and the carrying of the State Flag and the flags of the branches and arms of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
