Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is holding an extended meeting with its leaders ranging from grassroots to the central level after a long seven years.
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in the meantime joined as the chief guest through a virtual platform from London.
With reciting Quran, the meeting commenced at 10.30 am on the LD Hall premise of the National Parliament Complex with a condolence motion.
The participants include members of the National Standing Committee, the Chairperson’s Advisory Council, the National Executive Committee, and presidents, general secretaries, conveners, and member secretaries of all city, district, upazila-thana, and municipal unit committees.
BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia will address the meeting virtually as the chief guest. She is currently in London for advanced treatment. A chair has also been reserved for Begum Zia on the stage of the extended BNP meeting.
BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is presiding over the meeting virtually from London. He will address the leaders during both the inaugural and closing sessions.
