Bashundhara Public School and College (BPSC) has commenced its academic activities on Wednesday offering world-class education and unlimited opportunities for sports.

Bashundhara Group chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan inaugurated the academic programme through cutting ribbon at the permanent campus of the institution. Bashundhara Group vice-chairman Safwan Sobhan and Director Yeasha Sobhan were also present on the occasion.

BPSC Principal Brigadier General (Retd.) Anisur Rahman said, “I think the success of students in an institution depends on four stakeholders. The first stakeholder is the management, the second stakeholder is the teachers and staff, the third stakeholder is the students, and the fourth stakeholder is the parents. Only when all of these come together can a student become successful. I wish everyone success in this institution.”

The school campus of Bashundhara Public School and College, including a seven-story building, has been built on 10 bighas of land in the 'N' block of Bashundhara residential area of the capital, with the motto 'Dream, Develop, Achieve', with unlimited opportunities for sports along with world-class education.

The school is offering education from nursery to class VIII in the Bengali and English versions of the National Curriculum. The curriculum of this school is designed in such a way that the talents of the students are developed. This will enable them to overcome the obstacles of achieving excellence in modern life and become skilled for their future careers.

A state-of-the-art and safe learning environment has been ensured for the students of BPSC. There are three corridors on both sides of the building and in the middle. In addition, there are open balconies and elevator facilities around. This allows students and teachers to move around safely and comfortably. There is adequate lighting and ventilation in the entire campus, including the classrooms.

The school is designed in such a way that it feels like a world. The drawings depict the story of a small child who first comes to school with their parents' hands, their childhood, youthful enthusiasm, and journey to desired goal. Here, students can develop into enlightened people by simply reaching out and seeking knowledge.

Students have been provided with digital ID cards to enter the school. Using this card, students will be able to pay for bus services, cafeteria and even tuition fees. Students will have to ensure that they leave the school premises using the card. This digital ID card will play a role in cashless transactions. Various initiatives have been taken to build friendship between students and cutting-edge technology. Students will be able to stay connected with global information through interactive learning platforms, online resources and databases. As a result, the scope of students' studies will expand and they will be able to become more efficient.

The school authorities said that the area of each classroom in the institution is about 1,000 square feet. The classrooms are built in two rows. Each classroom here is specially designed, which will give students the opportunity to learn new subjects in depth. Different colors have been assigned to the four branches of each class. The colors symbolize different values, which will reflect the mental development of the students.

For example, blue represents ambition, green represents peace, yellow represents confidence, and orange represents determination. Each classroom in the school is decorated with state-of-the-art technology and is air-conditioned. The classrooms have smart boards and projectors. As a result, students will be able to easily keep up with the modern education system and acquire technological skills.

Sports and physical exercise have a significant impact on the overall development of students and their preparation for higher education. Various sports opportunities have been provided for students here. Such as cricket, football, volleyball, kabaddi, swimming. Arrangements have been made to train students with renowned trainers. In this, students will be able to compete in the world of sports at the national and international level beyond the boundaries of the school field. In addition to developing the talents of children, Bangladesh will also be proud in the international arena.
