Posts, Telecommunications and ICT adviser Md Nahid Islam has assured the protesting students of Jagannath University (JnU) to fulfill their demands within 3 working days including demand of handing over the project work of second campus to the army.
He gave this assurance to the protesting students in front of the secretariat on Monday afternoon.
Md Nahid Islam said, ‘We have not forgotten the contribution of Jagannath University in the movement. Our only problem is that students still have to take to the streets to fulfill their demands. I promise you that all your demands will be accepted within the next three working days.”
When the students refused within three working days, adviser Nahid said, "The problem of the halls cannot be solved in one day. We are looking into your demands. And today I am seeing the matter of handing over the work of the second campus to the army.”
Earlier, the students blocked the road in front of the Ministry of Education presenting 30points demand including handing over the work of second campus of Jagannath University (JnU) to the Army and inclusion in UGC's pilot project.
