As the the war situation in Lebanon is getting intense, 30 more Bangladeshis are returning home from Lebanon for the fourth time. On Saturday, the Bangladesh embassy in Beirut announced in a press release that the aircraft carrying them will land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 2:40 AM on Monday.
They are scheduled to depart from Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport to Dhaka via Jeddah on Sunday.
The press release also stated that arrangements have been made to send those applicants back home, who have prepared their necessary travel documents.
Previously, citizens interested in returning home were advised to contact the embassy. So far, 150 expatriate Bangladeshis have returned home in three phases.
At the first phase, 54 Bangladeshi nationals arrived in the country on the evening of October 21. In the second phase, a total of 65 individuals, including two newborns, arrived on a Saudi commercial flight (SV 810) last Wednesday. In the third phase, 31 Bangladeshis arrived in Dhaka on another commercial flight (SV 802) from Saudi Arabia on Thursday.
Almost 100,000 Bangladeshi are living in Lebanon right now. Among them, 1,800 have expressed a desire to return home
It is estimated that around 100,000 Bangladeshi nationals are in Lebanon, among whom.
