The sale of all advance train tickets for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr will begin tomorrow (Sunday) through online.
Passengers will be able to purchase the tickets for April 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and April 9 on March 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and March 30 respectively.
Every day a total of 33,500 tickets of intercity trains will be sold. Besides, one-fourth of standing tickets against the total seat of the non-ac compartment will also be sold, according to a media release of Bangladesh Railway.
Meanwhile, the selling of return tickets will begin on April 3.
In the holy month of Ramadan, cent per cent railway tickets will be available online at the Bangladesh Railway website https://eticket.railway.gov.bd or mobile app for a hassle-free service for the Eid holidaymakers.
Eight pairs of special trains will be run this year, added the release.
