Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Saturday said BNP is indulged in unhealthy politics of opposing India using tactics of past Pakistani strategies without getting a suitable political issue in the country.
He said this while addressing a function at the party’s Tejgaon office in Dhaka, Quader pointing his finger at the BNP leaders said, “They executed similar tactics during the era of Bangabandhu, and they continue to do so during the term of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.”
About the acceptance of the 7 January National election, he said Sheikh Hasina-led Awami League formed the government with 41 percent votes which is rare in many developed countries.
“Thereafter, BNP claims that India facilitated our rise to power. India helped us in defeating the evil efforts of BNP to thwart the 7 January national election,” Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said.
