Four killed in Cumilla truck accident, 3 hurt

Four truck labourers were killed and three others injured as a fish-laden truck overturned after being hit by another truck at Bareswar under Chandina upazila of Cumilla.

The incident happened around 5:00 am on Tuesday.  

The deceased were identified as Rafiqul Islam, 23 of Satkhira sadar upazila, Monir Hossain, 28, Habibur Rahman, 32 and Akter Hossain, 35 under Monpura upazila of Bhola.  

Confirming the accident, Eliotganj Highway Police officer-in-charge Monzurul Alam said Daudkandi bound a fish-laden truck overturned after being hit by another truck in front of a petrol pump as Bareswar, leaving four people dead on the spot and wounded three others.

The injured were rushed to Chandina Upazila Health Complex.
