After BNP, now ruling Awami League will hold its peace rally instead of Thursday considering the sufferings of the city dwellers.
The rally will be held at Agargaon, the old ground of Dhaka International Trade Fair.
Awami League Office Secretary Barrister Biplab Barua confirmed the matter to the media.
Earlier, BNP announced that it will hold its Thursday’s grand rally on Friday as the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) permitted to hold a rally in the capital’s Golapbagh instead of Surawrdy Udyan or Naya Paltan.
Party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir came up with the announcement on Wednesday night at the BNP chairperson’s Gulshan political office.
