An endangered Lojjaboti monkey (Bengal slow loris), which was rescued from an abandoned area adjacent to Bhedbhedi Ansar camp in Rangamati Sadar upazila on Monday night, has been released in Kaptai National Park, reports UNB.
Ansar members found the Lojjaboti monkey around 6 pm and informed the matter to the local forest office.
Later, the authorities concerned of Chattogram Forest Division (South), rescued the monkey and released it in Kaptai National Park, said Saleh Md Shoaib Khan, Divisional Forest Officer of Chattogram Forest Division.
The specie of money cannot see in the daylight and moves in the night, he said.
With this, a total of three Lojjaboti monkey have been released in Kaptai National Park this year.
