The Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned UN Resident Coordinator in Bangladesh Gwyn Lewis for making statement about attack on Hero Alam, reports The Daily Sun.
MOFA dismissed the comment of Gwyn Lewis and asked for explanation.
As Gwyn Lewis was not in Dhaka, in-charge went to the MOFA, sources said.
Dhaka wanted to know as to whether UN Resident Coordinator can make similar comments on other countries. The in-charge took notes and said he will convey the message to his office.
Mentionable, Hero Alam, an independent MP candidate for Dhaka-17 by-polls, came under attack recently.
