The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will start selling subsidized products on Sunday (July 16) to one crore family cardholders across the country.
This time the state-run organisation will sell lentils at less cost.
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi will inaugurate the program at 12:00 pm.
TCB has fixed the price of lentils at Tk 60 per kg instead of Tk 70 following the market price. At the same time, it will sell rice at Tk 30 per kg provided by the Directorate General of Food.
The TCB authority confirmed the matter on Saturday.
According to the TCB, one cardholder can buy the highest one kilogram of sugar at Tk 70, two kilograms of lentils at Tk 30 per kg, two litres of soybean oil at Tk 100 per litre and five kilograms of rice at Tk 30 per kg.
