Nine people, including seven Bangladeshi nationals, lost their lives in a devastating fire in Saudi Arabia, reports The Daily Sun.
The fire incident took place in eastern Al-Hasa district of the KSA around 4:00 pm (local time) on Friday.
Media reports reveal that two others are now receiving treatment in hospital with serious burn injuries.
Authorities claimed that a sudden fire broke out at a furniture factory in Al-Mansoora industrial area. The fire spread quickly because of the wood. Several workers were trapped inside the factory, many died on the spot.
Being informed, the fire service rushed to the spot and began rescue operation. The injured were rescued and taken to a local hospital for treatment. An Indian citizen is also among the dead.
It is learnt that three of the deceased expatriates hailed from Natore and one hailed from Rajshahi. Their identities, however, are not known yet.
