Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, said Tehran is demanding compensation from five regional states over their alleged participation in the US-Israeli-led war on the country, Al Mayadeen reported.
Iravani named Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan as the states from which compensation is being sought.
He also condemned the maritime blockade imposed on Iran, describing it as a “blatant violation” of the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Iranian envoy held the United States fully responsible for unlawful acts under international law, as well as for all resulting consequences, including its impact on regional and international peace and security.
Iran’s new Leader, Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei, urged last month governments across West Asia to reconsider hosting American military bases, warning that the continued presence of foreign forces contributes to instability and external intervention in the region.
He called on regional states to shut down US installations and demanded reparations for the damage inflicted during the attacks on Iran.
Tehran maintains that genuine regional security cannot be achieved while foreign militaries maintain a permanent presence in the Gulf, arguing that such deployments have long served as a source of tension and conflict.
