Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is reportedly “safe and sound” despite unconfirmed reports that he was injured during the ongoing war, according to a government-linked source/ The Guardian.
Yousef Pezeshkian, son of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, said on Instagram that he had checked with contacts and was assured that Khamenei had not been harmed, Al Jazeera reported.
Earlier, Iranian state television referred to Khamenei as a “wounded veteran of the Ramadan war,” but it did not provide further details about the alleged injury.
No official statement has been issued by Iranian authorities confirming that the supreme leader was wounded.
