The Vatican City has extended its heartfelt greetings and solidarity to the Muslim community on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, reports Daily Sun.
In a message received on Thursday, the Vatican said Muslims deepen their spiritual life during Ramadan through prayer, self-restraint, devotion, and acts of faith in the one Almighty Creator.
The message noted that this year the Christian season of fasting coincides with Ramadan, providing a meaningful opportunity for both communities to demonstrate closeness, compassion, friendship, and mutual respect.
Amid global crises and challenges, the Vatican called on people to choose the path of justice, compassion, and goodness instead of violence.
Expressing solidarity with Muslim brothers and sisters, the message encouraged all communities to work together in promoting justice, dignity, and peace.
The message concluded with prayers and best wishes for peace, well-being, and blessings for Muslims, their families, and all people.
