Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Riaz Hamidullah on Monday expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of at least ten people and injuries to many others in a car explosion near Delhi’s historic Red Fort.
In a message on X, Hamidullah said he and his colleagues at the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi share the grief of the victims’ families and stand in solidarity with the people of India at this difficult time.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected, including their families,” he wrote, adding that Bangladesh stands by India in this moment of tragedy.
Indian authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the blast, which occurred on Monday evening near the Red Fort area, according to media reports.
