Erdogan meets Trump, welcomes Israel-Iran truce
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan meets with US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the NATO Summit, in The Hague, Netherlands June 24, 2025-Al Jazeera

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has met his US counterpart at the sidelines of the NATO summit in The Hague and praised Trump for securing a truce between Israel and Iran, reported.

“Welcoming the ceasefire reached between Israel and Iran through the efforts of US President Trump, President Erdogan expressed his hope for it to be lasting,” a statement by the Turkish government said.

He “also emphasised the importance of close dialogue in ending the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza as well as in finding a peaceful solution to the war between Russia and Ukraine”, the statement added.
