The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Monday has announced the first launch of the Khyber (Qadr H) “multiple-warhead ballistic missile” during its latest missile attack on Israel, reports Al Jazeera.
“The 21st wave of Operation Sadeq 3 began in response to the continued evils of the Zionist Safak regime, with the firing of solid and liquid fuel missiles and combined operations of smart drones,” IRNA news agency quoted the IRGC’s public relations department as saying.
“In this operation, the Khyber (Qadr H) multiple-warhead ballistic missile was used for the first time, using new and surprising tactics to strike more accurately, more destructively and more effectively,” it said, adding that “strategic targets” were hit across the “occupied territories from the north to the south and the center of the Zionist regime”.
Earlier on Monday, Iranian media were reporting on a statement from the IRGC describing its latest attack on Israel which hit four cities and caused power disruptions.
“This wave was carried out with combined missile and drone operations using solid and liquid fuel missiles and utilising special tactics to penetrate the layers of the Israeli air defence shield,” Tasnim news agency reported, citing the IRGC.
“So far, rocket strikes have been recorded at five locations in the cities of Safad, Tel Aviv, Ashkelon, Ashdod, and Beisan,” it added.
