Israel’s military claimed that it has killed a second commander in the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) unit in the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC).
In a statement shared on social media on Saturday, the Israeli military said Air Forces warplanes targeted the commander – referred to by the Israelis as Amin Pour Jodkhi – whom it accused of overseeing the launch of “hundreds” of UAV drones towards Israel from southwest Iran.
The Israeli military said it had earlier assassinated Tahar Fur, another commander of the IRGC’s drone force, on June 13 , and Jodkhi had “assumed a central role in the command’s operations” since then.
