The US Embassy in Dhaka said the foreign parents, who travel to the US for the purpose of giving birth with tourist visas, may not be able to renew their visas in the future, reports UNB.
Many foreign parents with tourist visas travel to the United States for the purpose of giving birth, said the US government.
They use government assistance to pay for their medical care.
"These costs are passed on to the American taxpayers, and those parents may not be eligible to renew their visas in the future," said the Embassy in a message.
US consular officers will deny tourist visa applications if they believe the primary purpose of travel is to give birth in the United States to obtain US citizenship for an applicant's child, according to the Embassy
