Seven Pakistan army soldiers were killed on Tuesday when their vehicle was targeted by an improvised explosive device in the troubled southwestern province of Balochistan, Pakistan's military said in a statement.
At the time of writing this story, it was not known which group claimed responsibility for the attack.
Further details are awaited.
Tuesday's attack came after a blast targeting a police truck killed three people and injured 19 others in Balochistan province on April 15, Geo TV reported.
The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), a separatist outfit fighting for Balochistan's independence from Pakistan, has carried out such attacks targeting Pakistan Army personnel and security forces in the past.
The BLA came into the limelight when the separatists hijacked the Jaffar Express in Balochistan in March, resulting in the deaths of over 100 security personnel and civilians, as claimed by the group.
