Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Chairman Khondoker Rashed Maqsood along with four commissioners has resigned from their posts.
The commissioners who resigned are -- Md Mohsin Chowdhury, Md Ali Akbar, Farzana Lalarukh, and Md Saifuddin.
They submitted their resignation letters to the Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance on Thursday (June 4).
Rashed Maqsood was appointed BSEC chairman for a four-year term on August 18, 2024. Among the commissioners, Md Mohsin Chowdhury was appointed on June 2 the same year, Md Ali Akbar on August 28, and Farzana Lalarukh on September 3. The most recent appointment, Md Saifuddin, was made on July 29, 2025.
