The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) index declined on the first working day of the week, with share prices of most listed companies also falling.
According to DSE sources, a total of 394 companies and mutual funds were traded during the day. The total transaction value stood at Tk 727 crore 45 lakh 60 thousand.
At the end of trading, the DSE Broad Index (DSEX) dropped by 13.15 points from the previous session to settle at 5,220.95 points.
The DSE-30 Index also declined by 11.34 points to 1,990.27 points, while the DSE Shariah Index fell by 1.94 points to 1,156.22 points.
Among the traded securities, 161 advanced, 194 declined, and 39 remained unchanged.
At the close of the session, the total market capitalisation of the DSE stood at Tk 6,76,455 crore 8,344,132.
