A 22-member business delegation from the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) is set to depart for Guangzhou, China, on Wednesday to strengthen bilateral trade and investment ties.
According to a press release, the visit aims to deepen Bangladesh-China economic engagement, expand trade and investment cooperation, and explore new avenues for business collaboration between entrepreneurs of the two countries.
The delegation is led by DCCI Senior Vice President Razeev H Chowdhury and includes exporters and importers from diverse sectors such as food manufacturing, ceramics, information technology, automotive, industrial oil and grease, shipping and logistics, electrical and electronics, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, defense equipment and ready-made garments.
During the visit, the delegation will participate in a series of business forums and B2B networking sessions with leading Chinese trade promotion bodies and chambers. These include CCPIT Guangzhou, CCPIT Guangzhou Nansha, Guangzhou Nansha Association of Trade in Services, Guangdong Chamber of Commerce of Importers and Exporters, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronics Products (CCCME), and the Guangzhou Overseas Enterprises Chamber of Commerce.
The delegation will also attend China’s premier international trade exhibition, the Canton Fair, where members will take part in structured buyer-seller matchmaking sessions and explore potential partnerships. Additionally, they are scheduled to participate in the Guangzhou Sourcing Fair.
Through the visit, DCCI aims to further promote international trade, strengthen private sector collaboration, and support Bangladeshi businesses in integrating more effectively into global supply chains.
