In a landmark recognition of global impact, visionary entrepreneur and leadership strategist Hemi Hossain has officially awarded the Oxford Leadership Award 2025.

The honour was presented on 9 December 2025 at the prestigious Oxford Leadership Awards Ceremony, held at the infamous University of Oxford, UK, a fitting stage for a leader who has dedicated his life to shaping the future of people, organisations, and communities worldwide.

Hemi’s story begins far from the halls of Oxford. Born and raised in Bangladesh, he grew up with a deep appreciation for hard work, resilience, and the power of possibility.

Twenty-five years ago, he made a life-changing move to Australia in pursuit of greater opportunity, a journey marked not by certainty but by courage.

From Bangladesh to Melbourne, his path has been anything but linear. Hemi began his professional journey in corporate Australia after earning a degree in Business Information Systems from RMIT University.

He built a strong foundation while working with leading organisations, including Telstra, MYOB, and ANZ. Yet, it was his bold decision to step away from predictability and pursue possibility that ultimately transformed his path.

Today, as the founder and chief executive officer of NeXgen Global Group, Hemi leads a multinational enterprise operating across education, recruitment, finance, technology, EdTech, and investments. His work connects people, capital, and innovation, driving future-ready growth throughout Australia, Asia, and beyond.

As a global coach, keynote speaker, and bestselling author, Hemi’s influence extends far beyond business. Through his coaching platform Grow With Hemi, he has guided thousands in transitioning from employment to entrepreneurship. This mission inspired the principles behind his international bestseller Fire Your Boss, now recognised as a powerful blueprint for personal and professional transformation.

Hemi has delivered transformative insights on mindset and leadership to more than 1 million people worldwide, solidifying his reputation as an influential thought leader in the digital age.

Driven by purpose as much as by performance, Hemi also serves on the Board of Global Youth Mental Health Awareness (GYMHA) Inc., a charitable organisation dedicated to empowering young people and promoting mental well-being globally. His involvement reflects a core belief that mental health is everyone’s responsibility and that empowered minds build empowered communities.

Receiving the Oxford Leadership Award 2025 marks not only a celebration of Hemi’s accomplishments but also a tribute to the remarkable journey that brought him here from a small town in Bangladesh to the world’s most prestigious stages. His path embodies the power of ambition, reinvention, and self-belief.

Hemi is a strategist, a mentor, a changemaker and an architect of transformation.

From Bangladesh to Oxford, from uncertainty to global influence, Hemi Hossain’s mission remains clear and unwavering: to help people invest in themselves, embrace change with courage, and create the life they truly desire.
