Two new books by journalist Mobarak Azad-the short story collection ‘GD-te Lekha Prem’ and the poetry book ‘Nirob Alo’ are now available at the Amar Ekushey Book Fair 2026.
The books can be found at stall No. 518 of Tangon Prokash at the Suhrawardy Udyan section of the fair.
‘GD-te Lekha Prem’ presents a different flavor of storytelling, bringing together tales from dark city alleys to silent rural afternoons, from the suppressed cries of small towns to hidden human crimes, and from social masks to the unexpected turns of life. The book features 15 stories that explore crime, the harsh realities of society, the light of love, and relationships that challenge moral boundaries. Through these narratives, the author attempts to capture the inner struggles, dreams, falls and rebirth of human lives.
On the other hand, the poetry collection ‘Nirob Alo’ tells the story of a woman standing under the bluish glow of neon lights, whom society does not call by her name but by her profession.
Mobarak Azad has been involved in journalism for over a decade, starting with campus journalism during his university years. He is currently working as a senior crime reporter at the Bangla daily Kaler Kantho.
