BNP Chairman and Chief Patron of the Bangladesh Animal Welfare Association, Tarique Rahman, on Wednesday inaugurated a free animal clinic in the capital’s Banani area to ensure free medical services for animals.
The clinic, established by the Bangladesh Animal Welfare Association (BAWA), was opened at House 18, Road 24, Block K in Banani.
Members of the organisation said they are working nationwide to protect animals and nature under the slogan, “Let the country be a safe habitat for all living beings.”
In addition, the association operates a free ambulance service in Dhaka to provide emergency treatment to injured and sick animals.
They expressed hope that the new free animal clinic would make veterinary services more accessible and encourage greater public awareness and active participation in animal welfare.
