Police have arrested Ayesha, the prime suspect in the killing of a mother and daughter in Dhaka’s Mohammadpur.
Police said Ayesha was detained on Wednesday afternoon from Nalchity upazila of Barisal.
Earlier on Monday, Ayesha-who had been working in the flat-allegedly killed Laila Firoz (48) and her daughter Nafisa Lawal Binte Aziz (15) before fleeing the residence.
CCTV footage shows her entering the building’s lift at 7:51 am wearing a burqa and going up to the 7th floor. Later, at 9:35 am, she was seen leaving with a mask on, carrying a bag, and dressed in a school uniform.
Nafisa was a 9th-grade student at Mohammadpur Preparatory School.
