Three people, including a woman, were killed and five injured in a three-way collision involving a truck-CNG and autorickshaw in Chauddagram of Cumilla.
The incident took place on Monday evening at Felna Paschim Para on the Laksam-Chauddagram road in the upazila. Fire service members rescued five people and sent them to the Upazila Health Complex. Fire service and locals are trying to rescue three passengers of a mixed-fuel vehicle and a CNG autorickshaw who were crushed under the truck.
Chauddagram Fire Service Station Officer Mehedi Hasan Sujan said, "We reached the spot after receiving the news of the accident and recovered the body of one person. Five people have been sent to the hospital. Efforts are underway to rescue the two people who were crushed. It has not yet been possible to identify any of the deceased or injured."
