Chief Adviser (CA) Professor Muhammad Yunus has directed all concerned authorities to take effective steps to address the persistent waterlogging problem in Chattogram city.
He gave the instructions during a meeting with top government officials at the Chattogram Circuit House on Wednesday, reports BSS.
Prof Yunus also urged journalists to report regularly on the city's waterlogging crisis, which turns severe every year during the monsoon.
He called on experts to closely monitor the situation, emphasizing that waterlogging, while symbolic, represents a serious and recurring urban issue.
The chief adviser further instructed the local administration to set an example of good governance by taking tangible steps to resolve the long-standing crisis.
Chattogram Divisional Commissioner Dr Md Ziauddin briefed the chief adviser on the water logging situation in Chattogram City. Farida Khanom, deputy commissioner of Chattogram moderated the function.
