BNP’s labour wing Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal will hold a rally in the capital on May 1 to mark the historic May Day.
The rally is scheduled to begin at 2:00 pm on Tuesday in front of BNP's Nayapaltan central office, said BNP Standing Committee Member Nazrul Islam Khan while briefing reporters after a joint meeting of Sramik Dal, BNP, and its associate bodies.
The meeting was held at the BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan office, with BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in the chair.
Nazrul Islam Khan, also a renowned Labour leader, said leaders of Sramik Dal, BNP, and its different units participated in the meeting today at the invitation of Mirza Fakhrul to make preparations for arranging the rally in a peaceful manner.
He said leaders and activists from Sramik Dal’s Dhaka South and North city units, as well as those from districts adjoining Dhaka, will join the rally, where BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is expected to address as the chief guest virtually.
